Reliability, quality, and construction of the Phase-A-Matic™ Rotary Phase Converter
Baldor Electric/Phase-A-Matic™ Design and Quiet Operation
Simplicity of Design, 230V Phase-A-Matic™ Rotary Phase Converter
Since these are some of the most frequent causes of failure, keeping the design incredibly simple virtually eliminates the chance of an electrical connection failure. We don’t use any mechanical electrical connections, such as screws, terminals, or spade clips, which might corrode or vibrate loose over time. Instead, we solely employ soldered connections.
Relays, contactors, and start capacitors without loose or arcing connections that could weld the contacts and cause failure of the contactor, start capacitors, and possibly even the rotary converter or your equipment are all absent. As a result, unlike some of our competitors, we do not see circuit board failures brought on by spikes produced by the magnetic contactors.

Warranty Repairs of 230V Phase-A-Matic™ Rotary Phase Converter
The most likely warranty repair would be bearings or windings, which are very rare. This type of failure is much less than 1%, and if it is going to happen at all, most likely would occur within the first 12 months. Failures after that are extremely rare. See MTBF above.

Voltage Stabilizer:
For use with Rotary Converter on all voltage-sensitive equipment, including CNC/PLC machines, AC/DC drives, and other three-phase electronic equipment. gives the required voltage balance between legs, which is approximately +/- 5% or less as opposed to the normal +/- 10% for a 3-phase line voltage. Additionally, it aids in maintaining a steady output voltage during periods of high load, which benefits the proper operation of CNC/PLC and other voltage-sensitive equipment.
The Rotary Phase Converter typically runs between 208 and 230 VAC. In situations where there is no load or a light load, the Rotary Phase Converter’s output voltage is typically higher than the input voltage.
230V Phase-A-Matic™ Rotary Phase Converter, In applications with high single-phase voltage (greater than 230V), the output voltage of no load or light load may be excessive. Some CNC/PLC equipment will not work properly at the higher output voltage.
Supplied in a NEMA type 1 enclosure Intended for indoor use only, but can be placed in a rain-tight enclosure for use in wet applications.
