“We are confident that the worst is behind us and the end of load shedding is finally within reach,” he declared in a pivotal address ahead of this year’s elections, citing all of the changes and efforts made by the government.”But we are not stopping there,” stated the president, in response to the nation’s electrical problem, who in his SONA last year declared a national state of disaster.

He claims that in order to link renewable energy installations, over 14,000 kilometres of additional transmission lines will be constructed in South Africa.
